The Dome
A forty-foot dome in the heart of the camp grounds — home to sound journeys, ceremony and late-night sessions.
Gather
Meals prepared on site, eaten together. Some of the best conversations happen over food.
Each day builds on the one before it.
Land, settle into your teepee, and meet the people you’ll spend the next three days with. Dinner under the trees, the opening fire, and the first stories of how everyone got here.
Morning breathwork beneath the redwoods, the tea lounge in full ceremony, and campfire conversations with founders who’ve built, broken and rebuilt things. The first full night of music.
The most hands-on day: Kaizen Labs on business models, AI, leadership, health and wealth. Turn everything you’ve heard into concrete plans for the thing you’re building next.

A former entertainment lawyer who built At One Yoga across Arizona, then grew Spiritual Gangster into a global brand before its acquisition. He talks about building a brand as a movement — and what it means to exit a company built on practice.

Justin spent 15 years as an organizational scientist studying how things fall apart: probabilistic risk assessment, and the 50-year history of organizational failures in high-consequence industries like nuclear power.
After finishing his PhD in 2020, he started asking the reverse question, what makes teams and systems hold together, and found that the answers in ancient wisdom systems and the answers in modern organizational science kept pointing at the same things.
He is the co-founder of KOS (Kaizen Operating System) and the founder of Organizational Informatics, a Chicago consulting practice, and has worked with dozens of leadership teams to close the gap between how their work is meant to flow and how it actually does.
He came to Camp Kaizen to keep exploring that intersection. He is a multi-instrumentalist, ecstatic dance composer, and song circle facilitator.

Three years ago, I found myself at rock bottom.
I was $240,000 in the hole, staring at bankruptcy and wondering how I was going to make payroll.
I had just fired my CMO. My co-founder quit. And I was faced with a choice: close the company—or personally take on a $250,000 loan at 35% interest, with payments due every week, just to keep the doors open.
I took the loan.
For most of my life, I had been taught the entrepreneur's answer to everything:
Work harder. Push harder. Keep going.
So that's what I did.
Until I realized that force wasn't going to rebuild me.
What ultimately changed my life wasn't another growth strategy or productivity system. It was learning to ask different questions—not only about the company I was building, but about the stories I believed, the systems I created, and the soul underneath all of it.
That journey became The Way of Kaizen—a philosophy of continuous evolution rooted not in endless optimization, but in greater coherence between who we are, how we build, and what we're here to serve.
Today, the company I nearly lost has grown into a thriving nine-figure business.
But that isn't the part of the story that matters most to me.
The real transformation was internal.
I stopped building from force and started building from alignment.
And somewhere along that journey, a question began following me:
What would entrepreneurship look like if the people building the future were as committed to evolving themselves as they were to scaling their companies?
That question became Camp Kaizen.
I came to believe that every founder—and every company they build—lives at the intersection of three forces:
When these three fall out of alignment, we compensate with force.
When they return to coherence, something different becomes possible.
Camp Kaizen is a gathering of founders, builders, creators, and humans beneath the ancient redwoods—not to collect more tactics, chase another status symbol, or sit through another conference.

For thousands of years, these forests have existed on a timeline radically different from ours. We spend our lives rushing. Building. Scaling. Optimizing. For three days, we gather somewhere that reminds us how small — and how extraordinary — our lives actually are.

Camp Navarro sits on 200+ acres of ancient coastal redwood in Mendocino County, alongside the Navarro River and Neefus Creek.
No cell service. Wi-Fi across most of the property. Certified EMT on site. Service animals only.
About 2.5 to 3 hours north of the Bay Area — 155 miles. US-101 North, exit at Cloverdale, then CA-128 West through Anderson Valley to Masonite Industrial Road.
Sonoma County Airport (STS) is closest. SFO and OAK are both around 2.5 hours out.
Thursday, October 15 — Doors open 2pm for camp setup. Welcome dinner at 6pm, opening fire at 7:30pm.
Sunday, October 18 — Breakfast from 8am, closing ceremony at 10am. Campgrounds close at 2pm.
Cabins & Adirondacks, glamping teepees, and tent & RV areas across the property. Your glamping teepee is included with every Camp Kaizen ticket.
Before you leave: there's no cell service on the approach, so download your directions first. Uber and Lyft are almost nonexistent up here — we'll share a camp rideshare board so you can carpool from the Bay.
The Gathering
Yes. Builders take many forms — some arrive with companies, some with an idea, some between chapters. What you're building matters less than the fact that you're building. The questions at the center of the gathering belong to anyone making something with their life.
The forest doesn't do hierarchy, and neither do we. Founders sit beside artists, investors beside philosophers, first-timers beside people decades in. Nobody wears their track record on a lanyard — there are no lanyards. Wherever you are, someone around the fire has been exactly there.
There is no cell service on the property or the approach. Wi-Fi is available across most of the site, so you can get online if you need to. Phones stay away during practice and at the fire.
Tickets & Inclusions
Yes. All three nights at Camp Navarro are included in every ticket. The property spans 200+ acres of coastal redwood with cabins, Adirondacks, glamping teepees and woodland tent areas — Camp Kaizen holds a reserved footprint with its own circle and gathering space. You don't need to book anything separately; your accommodation details arrive in the participant guide.
Meals are included for all three days, prepared on site. The menu is built around whole, seasonal ingredients with plant-based and gluten-free options, and select animal protein at some meals. A beverage station runs all day, and the tea lounge serves ancient pu-erh in ceremony throughout the gathering. Tell us about dietary requirements when you register and we'll take care of them.
Travel & Logistics
Once you register you'll receive a full orientation guide with travel instructions and local recommendations. Doors open at 2pm on Thursday, October 15. Closing ceremony runs from 10am on Sunday, October 18, and campgrounds close at 2pm. Fly into Sonoma County Airport (STS) if you can — SFO and OAK are both about two and a half hours away. There's no cell service on the approach, so download directions first, and plan to carpool: a camp rideshare board goes out to everyone before the event.
Camp Navarro is an established retreat property, not a bare field. Facilities are proper buildings with running water, flushing toilets and hot showers, and a certified EMT is on site for the duration of the event.
Policies
Your ticket is 100% refundable up to 60 days before the event. Inside 60 days we're unable to offer a refund, as we've committed to the land, the food and the team by that point. If Camp Kaizen is ever cancelled due to weather or another act of God, your registration moves to the rescheduled date — and if you can't make the new dates, you'll receive a full refund.
