Who we are

Camp Kaizen is organised by Kaizen Business Mastery LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal information we collect through campkaizen.com and when you apply for or buy a ticket, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you give us

• When you buy a ticket. Checkout is handled by Stripe. Stripe collects your name, email address, billing details and payment card information, and shares with us the details of your order and your contact information. We never see or store your full card number.
• When you apply. Our application form is hosted by Typeform, and we receive the answers you submit, including your name, email address and what you tell us about yourself and your work.
• When you email us. We keep the correspondence so we can answer you, including anything you tell us about dietary requirements, accessibility or travel.

Information collected automatically

• Server logs. Our host, Netlify, records standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, and uses it to serve the site and protect it from abuse.
• We set no cookies of our own, and we run no analytics or advertising trackers on this site. Services embedded in our pages may set their own cookies, as described below.

How we use your information

• To process your ticket purchase, send confirmations and handle refunds.
• To review applications and respond to them.
• To run the event: sending your participant guide and travel information, arranging accommodation and catering, and accommodating dietary or accessibility needs.
• To answer your questions and provide support before, during and after the event.
• To keep accounting and tax records, and to meet our legal obligations.

If you buy a ticket or apply, we may email you about Camp Kaizen. You can ask us to stop at any time by replying or emailing team@kaizenbusinessmastery.com. We will still send messages you need in order to attend, such as arrival instructions.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with the services and partners we need to run the event:

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Typeform — hosting the application form.
• Netlify — website hosting.
• Vimeo — the trailer video on our homepage. It is embedded with Vimeo's "do not track" setting enabled.
• Google Fonts — typefaces used across the site, which means your browser requests files from Google's servers and Google receives your IP address.
• The venue — Camp Navarro receives the information needed to host you, such as your name, accommodation and any dietary requirements.
• Professional advisers and authorities — where we are required to share information by law.

Each of these services handles your information under its own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as we need it for the purposes above. Records of payments and other financial information are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Applications that do not lead to a ticket are deleted once they are no longer needed.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, or limit how we use it. You can also object to us using it for a particular purpose. To do any of these, email team@kaizenbusinessmastery.com.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have these rights under the GDPR, and you may complain to your national data protection authority. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what we collect and to request deletion; we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by that law.

Where your information is held

We and the services we use are based in, or store information in, the United States. If you are outside the United States, your information will be transferred there and handled under this policy.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection, and payments are processed by Stripe, which is certified to the PCI DSS security standard. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Children

Camp Kaizen is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and, where the change is significant, tell ticket holders by email.
